I’m not one to go to Michelin starred restaurants very often as they can be quite pricey and I prefer a laid back dining vibe. However I discovered that the Ledbury (2 Michelin stars) has a great lunch menu offer during the week (£35 – starter, main and dessert) and thought what better way to celebrate the half way mark on researching, writing and testing recipes for my next book than with a little lunch.

I have an obsession with tiles, so take pictures of them whenever I spot them. Old vintage tiles are my favourite. The colours, motifs and slightly chipped edges. I do hope that when I eventually move (no plans for the moment – I’m still in the Little Paris Kitchen) I’ll be able to find beautiful tiles, like these for my new kitchen.
