This month, top of my ‘things to try and squeeze into my Paris to-do list’ was the Omnivore Paris Food Festival. I’ve been going to it for the past couple of years but was lucky enough to get a freebie this year (thanks Lisa Kajita!), and it was a real treat to be surrounded by other people cooking and demonstrating their culinary ideas – nice to step away from my own recipe testing for a few hours!

I love going to my local cinema. It’s on the Canal St Martin. There are actually two on each side of the canal. You can even hop on the ciné boat to take you to the other cinema. The Parisians love going to cinema on a Sunday. You’ll see a long queue for the latest blockbuster or film noir.

It’s a wrap! Great to meet lots of friendly faces at the book launch events for the French version of LPK in Paris last week at La Cocotte and Colette. Bienvenue “La petite cuisine à Paris”! (published by Hachette Pratique on the 17.10.12). Here’s a recap of the launch and book signing events.
