I’m a big fan of mixing sweet and savoury flavours, and am always on the look out for seasonal ingredients that I can use for both main dishes and desserts. At this festive time of year, cue the tasty little chestnut appearing on my shopping list without fail. Whilst it’d be easy to write the chestnut off as being a bit of a quaint ingredient, I think it’s far from old-fashioned.
