Eat/Share/Listen with Thomasine Barnekow
Thomasine and I have known each other for a while now, from my time living in Paris. I absolutely love Thomasine’s work (see previous blog post: Peek-a-look* - September 2012) and am lucky enough to be the proud owner of a pair of her beautiful gloves. The care and attention that goes into each and every pair of gloves she makes is simply amazing.
If you want to see more from Thomasine, she will be in London later this month, presenting her new collection of gloves at Wolf & Badger in Mayfair on Thursday 27th November (4-8pm). The event is being sponsored by the Swedish Whiskey brand, Mackmyra. Or you can follow her on Instagram and Facebook for the latest news and behind-the-scenes snaps.
Over to your Thomasine...

(eat) my fail-safe dish...? Poached ginger and lemon pears after any kind of dinner for friends: it is a classic beauty on the plate, and is very easy to prepare.
(eat) favourite restaurant/cafe/bar and why…? The best lunch hide-away is inside Village Saint Paul in Paris. L'Inattendu is a small green café with fresh warm sandwiches, in a forgotten calm corner of the otherwise very busy and touristic Marais.
Next to the Cirque d'Hiver's backstage entrance lies an exceptionally cosy cocktail bar, "L'Entrée des Artistes", that also serves well-made dishes.

(share) can't get through the day without... A cup of "Marco Polo Rouge" (red rooibos) tea from Mariage Frères.
(share) recent inspiring find I've discovered online... Fauve Paris combines auctions of art, decorative arts, design and lifestyle. It's a new modern way of meeting and buying art, combining an auction house with a wine bar.
A very inspiring place to visit, both virtually and in reality.
(listen) a tune I turn up on the radio... Pharrell Williams – Happy.

(listen) a quote that resonates with me... "Don't stop me now - I am having such a good time" – Queen.
