Celebrating Khoollect's first birthday!!!
I couldn't be more excited to tell you that today is Khoollect's first birthday!!
For those of you who haven't heard about Khoollect, it's a project I dreamed up a long time ago but has only just come into fruition over the past year. It's an online collection of all the exciting things I’ve wanted to share for so long, including the creative and inspiring people I've met on my journeys, the amazing destinations I’ve travelled to, and all the delicious food and eateries I've discovered along the way... along with new discoveries made each and every day in some of the most unsuspecting nooks and crannies around the world. The mantra of course: 'finding inspiration in unlikely places'.
The best part about Khoollect is it's become a place for you – my friends, fans and followers – to shout about the things you're passionate or excited about, and for you to get involved in what we're doing. I've always been super passionate about getting everyone involved, because with each individual comes new and unique ideas! I certainly wouldn't have managed to get this exciting new gig up and running and grown it to what it is today without all your support and enthusiasm! Thank you!
It's crazy to think a whole year has gone by and Khoollect has grown from an infant-sized social media following, to a fairly buggy but reasonably functional little website in January (yes, I'll be the first to admit we had quite a battle with a series of minor malfunctions and quirks). And now: it's an ever-evolving sleek, fun and interesting fully-fledged website, supported by a fast growing social media fan club.
It's not just that side of the business that's grown either...what started out as just me has since expanded into a team of six creative and savvy individuals, along with a strong collection of regular contributors (thanks guys!!), and a much larger Khoollect HQ. I'm so chuffed to have such an amazingly talented team behind me to continue building Khoollect. I can't wait to look back on things again this time next year!
