(eat) my fail-safe dish...? Lime and lemon bars – a no-rolling dough made in seconds, the softness of powdered sugar, the tartness of the lime zest. A sweet treat that never disappoints.

I really love
in Brooklyn because I like (good) surprises. Here the menu changes daily and is simply hand-written on a piece of paper. Last time I went I had a bright green nettle soup and a delicious soft-shell crab fried in a buttermilk batter. The setting is also great: it feels like you're eating on an old sailboat. Also,
, a cafe behind the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. It's a little
terrasse
hidden from the crowds where I like to go in the summer, to watch the sunset and drink a glass of
menthe à l'eau
(mint syrup with water).

(share) recent inspiring find I've discovered online... I love VSCO cam, both a website and an iPhone app: a really cool camera app that lets you choose your exposure and focus point and comes with really cool editing tools. You can then upload your photos on a beautiful grid.
(listen) a tune I turn up on the radio... 'I love it' by Icona Pop.
(listen) a quote that resonates with me... I love food and films so I fully relate to this Wong Kar Wai quote: "Film is very much like food. When you have a flavour lingering in your mouth, you cannot explain that flavour correctly to someone else. It's very abstract. It's the same with film". Making a film is like baking the same cake for months without a recipe – quite challenging!
