Behind the scenes: Trailer for my new book

When you combine edible flowers, melons from the market, cocktails, and a lovely Parisian backdrop, you have the perfect combination for ... a book trailer! Over one rainy weekend in Paris we filmed the book trailer for my new book,

'My Little French Kitchen'

. I thought I'd share some behind-the-scenes insight into our filming process, so you can see what it looked like when

Marie

was filming the trailer.

We divided the shoots into three main parts – shopping at the market, in my apartment preparing the main recipe, a “Charlotte aux fleurs de Provence” (check out the recipe in the book trailer!), and finally on location at the dinner party setting.

Note the umbrella keeping Marie's camera out of the rain!

After filming at my local market (plus buying some produce for the team's lunch), we headed back to my apartment in Belleville to continue shooting. I also had to check on the Charlotte, and to make sure the filling was setting properly in the fridge.

Decorating the Charlotte

Here's some behind the scenes footage (taken with my Canon camera) from our weekend of filming.

Filming the dinner party scene was loads of fun – lots of obligatory recipe sampling too :)

Here's my "Charlotte aux fleurs de Provence" – the end result.

And in case you missed it, here's the finished product! Merci à tous to everyone involved.
