Lunch box Monday Musings
* Interesting to see how school lunches in the US compare to other countries - I certainly wouldn't want to eat its offering for lunch! Really like the look of what kids are given in Greece, Finland and South Korea, and who could resist brie and apples? While I was in Malaysia, I discovered they have some pretty amazing lunches too, make sure you tune in to 'A Cook Abroad' next Monday (BBC2, 9pm) to see it!
* Loving Stylist's 'Reclaim Your Lunch Break' campaign, lots of ideas for what you can do with your hour on their website.
* Some lovely lunch box ideas - avocado baguettes anyone?
* Disappointing, but unsurprising to read that UK workers take the shortest/least breaks in Europe! Here's a convincing psychological viewpoint on why it's important for us to take a break, not just at lunch but at other points during the day. Burn out is definitely not an attractive prospect! I like to keep active whenever I can, starting the day with exercise gives me time to focus and I block out time in my diary for things I need to do, otherwise I wouldn't do them.
* How about my Sushi hand rolls or Caraway and cabbage quiche for your next packed lunch?
