Clas Ohlson Swedish Kitchen Workshop

This post is sponsored by Clas Ohlson.

After months of writing, recipe testing and photoshoots, it's finally time to launch my latest cookbook, The Little Swedish Kitchen. It's so exciting to see all of our hard work come together – I'm so proud of every page and I can't wait to hear what you think.

To celebrate, I teamed up with Swedish home retailer Clas Ohlson to host some cookery workshops in the Khoollect Studio. Decorated beautifully with flowers from Aesme and linen from my favourite shop, The Linen Works, we set up outdoors in the blazing 35 degree sunshine.

Waffles and buns are two classic Swedish dishes that I love to make my own with tweaks and toppings. For our cookery demo, I made my butternut squash waffles (complete with heart shaped waffle maker from Clas Ohlson, which each guest took home with them) and Swedish buns with chocolate and raspberry jam.

Much needed in this unprecedented London heat, we had an ice-cold treat from Jude's Ice Cream. As well as plenty of Swedish sweets – salty liquorice anyone?! I know, not my cup of tea either. But something you must try!

I rounded up a selection of some of my favourite Swedish products for the goodie bags. Supporting Swedish businesses, big and small, we've got everything from Daim bars, to bags of Drop Coffee, to a very generous £80 voucher from Clas Ohlson. Take a peak what's inside here!

Huge thank you to everyone that came – Lindsay Radcliffe, Kat Molesworth, Izy Hossack, Katie Quinn, Katy English, Felicity Spector and Tina Jui. Such a fab way to celebrate the launch. Thank you to Clas Ohlson for sponsoring and making the day look and feel so celebratory. And, of course, thank you to my right-hand woman Frankie Unsworth for always making everything go smoothly and second-guessing that I might add too much butter to the recipe ;-)

You can now buy The Little Swedish Kitchen on Amazon, Clas Ohlson and good bookstores.
