eat/share/listen with me

New season, new feature on the blog. Each month I'm going to be interviewing creative types to find out what's currently inspiring them (similar to my Quizzing the Creatives Q&A on the blog last year). First up on eat/share/listen, a familiar face...moi ;)

(eat) my fail-safe dish...?

I love hitting my local market and picking up some seasonal fruits and vegetables. The simplest (and often the most tastiest) way of eating fresh vegetables is either throwing together a salad with a simple dressing (squeeze of lemon and good quality extra virgin olive oil does the job), or making a colourful mix of roasted vegetables, tossed in extra virgin olive oil with some

and a creamy goat's cheese crumbled on top. I firmly believe if you spend a little extra on good quality produce, it means you often don't need to do so much work in the kitchen – because it tastes so good anyway.

(eat) favourite restaurant/cafe/bar and why…? Difficult to say as it really depends on my mood. I love Septime in Paris for its inventive and seasonal food (during the week they have a set-menu lunch deal). Otherwise Ten Belles for a good cup of coffee, and when I need a juice for a health kick (apple, carrot and lots of ginger) I call into Bob's Juice Bar.

(share) can't get through the day without...A cup of tea (well actually more like an entire pot of tea). I recently discovered a lady who grows herbs and plants in Brittany. She had a beautiful selection of herbs which she put together to make her own herbal teas. Not only do they taste good, but they look beautiful in a glass teapot.

(share) recent inspiring find I've discovered online... I love the infographics by Pop Chart Lab. Fun way of displaying a lot of information. Check out some of my favourites here and here.

(listen) a tune I turn up on the radio... I'm an old-skool hip hop lover and my favourite band of all time has to be A Tribe Called Quest. Difficult to say what tune I love the most as they have sooooo many, but Bonita Applebum is in my top five. http://youtu.be/6xE6ZWwJezg (listen) a quote that resonates with me... As the famous philosopher ;) Dr Seuss says: “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.”
