Getting to know the real me…

Other than my love of travel, passion for cooking and affection for all things French and Parisian, there’s a good chance you don’t know all that much about me. I tend to live a pretty private existence, but lately my Khoollect team have pushed me (gently) to share some of my own personal likes, dislikes, advice and weird and wonderful facts about myself.

So, if you’d like to learn a bit more about the real Rachel Khoo (including my secret talents, pet hates, and favourite lippies) then here’s the latest features I’ve put together that will give you a bit of insight into my world. Take a look, then then share some fun facts about yourself in the comments section at the bottom of this page.

  1. I think you need to go with a friend and go to a park, take off your socks and shoes, a warm rug and a picnic basket, a nice bottle of wine and watch the sunset, good company, nice surroundings and you in a beautiful dress, hair up and little make up as you already have natural beauty, lipstick is nice to show off your lovely smile, so make to pamper yourself at least once a week and give yourself a treat, you deserve it. keep smiling, stay happy you are wonderful.

  2. Awe! Loved this post, especially seeing what lippies you use. I may or may not have an obsession with finding the right red lipstick or something to wear everyday. 🙂 Thanks for sharing and letting us learn more about you!

  3. Thank you for sharing the “Real You”. I know it must be hard to share some of your private moments for the world to see and I respect that. Love it… and thank you.

  4. Hi Rachel and everyone,

First of all, love watching your cook shows. I am a young at heart 57 year old, ex – Leeds art school class of 79, now living in Dubai, teaching kids to design and sew their own clothes. I love old movies, anything embellished, baked potatoes and cuddles with my little granddaughter. I believe one of the best things in life is to have a sense of humour and that can get us through most things.

  5. The One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy, and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

    They stand up to injustice.

They don’t take “no” for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

    They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel, and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think

    there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

    However, if there is one flaw in women, it is this;
they forget their worth and how remarkable they truly are
