My favourite Zumbo desserts so far
As a child whenever I would visit Austria, baking sessions with my Grandma, Aunties and I would be the norm. Anything from apple strudel to spiced biscuits would be on the menu. So as you can imagine, I've got a very sweet tooth. Luckily for me, I got to sample some tasty treats filming Zumbo's Just Desserts. Here are a few of my favourites from the ones Zumbo has made:

The "Back to school"
I love millefeuille! Buttery pastry with a creamy vanilla custard filling. Too divine. This twist on it with the different apple layers had me heading backstage to see if there were any seconds.

The "Epic Biscuit Pack"
I'm a sucker for a cup of tea and a biscuit especially if it's a chocolate coated one. Of course, my favourite biscuit in the selection are the Khoo hoots: a cinnamon snickerdoodle biscuit topped with apple pie jam and coated with milk chocolate with rice crispies and popping candy. I had to be very careful not to get sticky chocolate fingermarks on my dress.

The "Frankozumbo"
What a monster of a dessert. This one had my tastebuds going crazy. There was a surprise on every layer from crunch, zing to creaminess. Yum!
If you fancy knocking up a sweet treat at home that is a little easier, here are some ideas:

The team at Khoollect recently interviewed Kristina Gill for our 'On the Couch' series. Her fruity ‘Sorbetto di Pesche e Vino’ or ‘Peach and Wine Sorbet’ is taken from new book Tasting Rome.

This next treat is part of Khoollect food editor Frankie Unsworth's Weekend Eats menu: 'Rose Water Meringue Mess' - a favourite of mine.

Here's another from the menu: Labneh with strawberries, pistachios and honeycomb. Tastes great, and is so easy to make.

When I'm feeling a little flamboyant this always makes for a nice table centrepiece.

And finally, you can't go wrong with a chocolate brownie. This recipe is from London's Bread Ahead, it's hard to eat just one of these!
