The Little Swedish Kitchen Book Launch
What a crazy, amazing, and overwhelming week it has been of media appearances and celebrations!
After more than a year of planning, writing, photographing and recipe testing, my sixth cookbook, The Little Swedish Kitchen, finally launched on July 26.
And now, 10 days later, I'm finally able to take a deep breath and digest my launch party and all the exciting things that came with it.
To mark the occasion, I gathered all my best friends and collaborators for lots of fizz, plenty of food (as always) and endless thank yous in a gorgeous space in London. It was so nice to have everyone in one room to enjoy the outcome of months of hard work!
If you're a fan of the Khoollect Studio kitchen, then you would have adored my launch party venue. Thank you to deVOL Kitchens in Clerkenwell for hosting us in such an Instagram-friendly space – it provided endless opportunities for guests (me included!) to snap pictures of the lavender walls, dreamy tiles, and beautiful fittings and fixtures.
A big thank you to my right-hand woman, Frankie Unsworth, for whipping up our delicious party feast. We snacked on quick and easy hotdogs – even vegan ones – made from the recipe in my new book! Thank you to Helen Browning's Organic for supplying the delicious mini sausages and Paul Rhodes Bakery for the sweetest mini buns.
One of team Khoollect's favourites, Square Root London, were kind enough to donate soft drinks for the occasion – a lifesaver in the 35 degree London heatwave we were experiencing at the time!
When it comes to a Khoo-style party, you can't forgo the bubbles! Our friends at Naked Wines sponsored the evening and shared their expertise and knowledge with enthusiastic party-goers.
You all know how much I love my blooms, so I was blown away by the breathtaking beauties supplied by local florists Aesme. It's not often you'll find me left speechless, but the arrangements they provided were beyond gorgeous (and if you like those, then check out the beautiful table arrangements Aesme created for my Clas Ohlson workshop!).
