I’m Coming to Liverpool Food and Drink Festival (Giveaway Closed)

RACHEL KHOO'S KITCHEN NOTEBOOK LONDON

Very excited to announce that I’ll be part of the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival line up this year. The festival will be happening in Sefton Park on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of September – take a look at the LFDF website to find out more about the event, what else’ll be going on over the weekend.

I’ll be cooking in the celebrity chef demo tent on Sunday, and am really looking forward to it – I’ve heard fantastic things about the festival. I’m excited to be demonstrating how anyone, with a little practice, patience and enthusiasm), can cook super tasty and nutritious restaurant-quality food!

Giveaway alert! With a big thanks to the organisers of the event, I’m giving away a pair of tickets for the festival.

This festival is all about supporting local talent. For a chance to win these tickets, I’d like to hear your top tips for Liverpool – this could be your favourite places to eat or see, or just your favourite things to do in the area.

Tag me on Instagram (@rachelkooks) and use the #rkgiveaway hashtag with your snaps, or tweet your entries to me (@rkhooks). You can also take part by leaving your entry in the comments below.

Can’t wait to see your favourite discoveries and pick up some great recommendations. Good luck!

Small print: The competition will close on Wednesday 9th September 2015. Please only enter if you are able to get to Liverpool on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September for the festival.

There are only 2 tickets available, and there will only be one winner.

If you can, please include a valid email address with your entry. You will be contacted by email or social media if you win.

The winner will be chosen at random after the closing date. They will then be contacted directly.

A limited time frame will be given for the winner to accept the prize. If the prize is not claimed within 2 days, a new recipient will be drawn at random.

This giveaway has now closed.

  1. After living in Liverpool as a student for three years, I can honestly say it is one of the best cities to explore by foot! Walking around this historic and cultural centre is cheap and cheerful, getting to speak to the friendliest people in the UK – Scousers. Take a stroll from the LFDF in sunny Sefton Park towards Penny Lane and take an afternoon rest at the Dovey – renowned for accommodating Freddie Mercury. From here, hum the Beatles as you head down through leafy Aigburth to Otterspool waterfront and meander along the Mersey until you reach the reinvented Albert Dock. After all that walking you’ll undoubtedly need a munch, and Liverpool boasts a wealth of eateries. Egg Cafe is a veggie hotspot, or take advantage of the heavenly burgers at Free State Kitchen. When you’re full to pop, start your bar crawl at the Pilgrim pub for great atmosphere and well priced beverages.

  3. Hi Rachel,

I love your TV shows and recipes – they’ve really inspired me to create my own! I have even used your “ice cream in a bag” technique in one recipe that I’ve entered in a National competition competiton.

Thank you for the inspiration and entertaining cookery shows 🙂

    Best wishes,

    Rakesh

  4. I will be walking the Camino de Santiago with my wife ,starting the 15 sept ,no plans just would like to complete ,no plans let the feet do the walking even to wander to see Rachel

Try the Greek restaurant in Hardman Street, Liverpool (just down from the Philharmonic pub which is very cosmopolitan). I have to admit that this was a while ago but they did fantastic bread and Humus, amazing.

I think your ‘Little Paris Kitchen’ was fantastic. My only regret is it’s no longer open.

I’m trying to learn French and you’re an inspiration to me both with my French and cooking. I keep trying to discuss recipes with my friend at French classes who is a chef on submarines. You get his vote as well.

    Merci madame

  6. Got to try Bakchich Lebanese street food restaurant in Bold St. It’s fantastic and Shwarma’s are to die for. Love the Food & drink festival.x

    1. Hi Robert, oh no that’s a shame. I haven’t got any plans to return to Liverpool in the next little while, but keep an eye on my Facebook and Instagram pages for other upcoming events I’ll be at 🙂
