Meine französische Küche - Launch of the German My Little French Kitchen book

Update: Congratulations to Shuai in Berlin. You've won a copy of 'My Little French Kitchen'!

Last Friday I put my German into practice with the launch of 'Meine französische Küche', the German version of 'My Little French Kitchen' (keep reading for details about my book giveaway below). It was a whistle-stop tour with a book signing in the morning, and breakfast with the lovely DK team (my German publishers). Afterwards, I headed to the delightful Die Mercerie. The beautiful wools, fabrics and threads had me wishing I could knit.

Traditional 'Kaffee und Kuchen' (coffee and cakes) were on the menu. My German was really put to the test chatting to a small gathering of bloggers and journalists about the book. Luckily I got through it with the odd French or English word thrown in.

GIVEAWAY: I have a signed copy of ‘Meine französische Küche’ to give away to one of my readers in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

For your chance to win, leave a comment here on my blog (bonus points if you spread the word via your own blog, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook – include the hashtag #rachelkhoogermangiveaway!). I’ll be drawing a winner on Tuesday March 18, so you have until Monday March 17 to enter. Viel Glück!

P.S. A quick reminder that my Dutch giveaway is live until March 13.

The fine print: This giveaway is open to residents of Germany, Austria or Switzerland (or you’re welcome to enter from other destinations, if you have a friend/family member based in any of these countries who can receive the book at their address). Any queries, send me an email

A bunch of friends keeping a watchful eye on my German books :)
