Christmas for a citizen of the world
As you may know, I'm always on the move. Whether I'm working abroad to shoot a TV series, meeting up with friends around the world or just taking a holiday, travelling keeps me going and is something I would be restless without. One of the great things about having the opportunity to visit many different places is learning about new cultures and traditions. And, with the festive season now in full swing, I thought it would be a good opportunity to share some of my favourite memories of Christmas from different places I have visited.
These twinkly light-covered trees are something I spotted on a festive trip to Germany a little while ago, at one of the country's traditional Christmas markets.
There's nothing like hiking through the Austrian landscape over the Christmas period. My mum is Austrian, so it's a place that is special to my family too.
I thought I'd stumbled upon a real-life Andy Goldsworthy when I came across this in Sweden at Christmastime.
Ahh, and home sweet home. This action snap was taken in London last year. It seems Father Christmas decided to ditch the reindeer for a BMX...
Between my travels abroad, I like to take a little time to unwind. When I can, I reserve a night at home with a good movie and even better snacks. Here's the perfect festive snack from Khoollect for those chilly movie nights in (preferably paired with a festive film too)...
Wherever you find yourself celebrating this Christmas, I hope you have a great one!
