Rachel Khoo's Kitchen Notebook Melbourne: Behind the Scenes part two

As promised, here's the second instalment of my behind the scenes series for Rachel Khoo's Kitchen Notebook Melbourne. The lovely SBS team have provided me with another selection of gorgeous images, photographed by the talented Kelly Gardner and Sam D'Agostino.

The final episode will be airing tomorrow night at 8pm on SBS, make sure you don't miss it!

Melbourne is the sporting capital of Australia (or so I've been told), so I headed over to Brunswick to meet Ralph and his food trucks - a favourite gourmet fast food proprietor amongst sports fanatics. What did you think of his fish tacos? So tasty.

Prepared a traditional passata with the Nonna of an Italian-Australian family, then we all tucked into this delicious ricotta and spinach ravioli.

Here's a different angle for you: the cameraman setting up to get a good shot of the dish, with the stylists and producers checking the set up is the same as it was in the previous shots (for continuation purposes).

Taking a moment to enjoy a coffee and sketch this seafood pasta dish in my notebook, in a restaurant on Lygon Street.

Lighting is everything apparently!

Headed out of town to explore Dandenong and help Mauro Callegari prepare this salted golden trout, in the kitchen of The Independent in Gembrook.

Got my watercolours out again in this beautiful orchard. Couldn't help myself, the fruit was just too gorgeous!

Hope you've enjoyed this preview. Very sad to say goodbye to Melbourne in tomorrow's episode, I've had such a fantastic journey - so  many experiences I'll never forget.

If you've missed out on any of the episodes from the series so far, check out SBS play and you might be able to catch a couple online if you're quick. For those of you unable to catch the show on SBS,  don't worry it'll be airing worldwide later in the year.
